A Haunted House
Malcolm (Marlon Wayans) and Keisha (Essence Forte) are newlywed. The couple have moved into their new beautiful suburban home. But someone’s not happy about it. A string of paranormal anomalies spur the couple to take action against their ghastly inhabitant.
Marlon Wayans’ A Haunted House, breathes new life into a genre the Wayans family were killing. Let’s face it, the Scary Movie franchise needs a stake through the heart.
There’s not much in the way of ground-breaking original comedy in A Haunted House, but that’s not to say it isn’t funny either. This is a farce in the truest sense of the word. It had this movie-goer keeled over from a laughter cramp, from start to finish.
A Haunted House is a refreshing welcome into the spoof arena, obviously taking its shots at the Paranormal Activity franchise. There’s a fair amount of physical and cringe humor as well. Check this out as a couples night or a group of friends if looking for a really good time.
As a side note: Marlon Wayans was in attendance at the advance screening of A Haunted House. This gentleman is just as funny in person, as he is on film. We at Film Obsession wish him luck as he embarks on his journey with BabyWay Productions.
